Palm oil, being extremely versatile, is ubiquitous in its use and is present in more than 50% of all the packaged
products we find in our supermarkets.
Thus, LNPI’s products extracted from palm trees grown in a completely sustainable
manner, gain critical importance.
Numerous fuels, culinary items and personal care items include crude palm oil (CPO), which is extracted from the fleshy palm fruit. The resulting CPO is then screened and refined to produce biodiesel for fuel, lauric acid for cosmetics and soaps, oleo chemicals for detergents and lubricants and edible oils like cooking oil and margarine.
Crude Palm Kernel Oil (CPKO) is a culinary ingredient used in non-dairy creams and ice creams and is made from the kernel of the palm fruit. The seed is cracked, deshelled, and crushed after the fleshy fruit is removed to generate CPKO which is subsequently refined to generate the finished product.
Palm Kernel Cake (PKC) is the principal constituent of multiple animal feeds. It is made from the residue of the palm fruit kernel, after the CPKO has been extracted.
